Overview

What LoyBooks Does

LoyBooks is a multi-tenant SaaS integration that automatically synchronises sales data from Loyverse POS into Zoho Books. Every receipt from the POS becomes an invoice in Zoho Books — with customers matched, items synced, and payments recorded — running on a configurable schedule (default: every 15 minutes).

Test Account Credentials

Use the following credentials to access a pre-configured demo account with live Loyverse and Zoho Books connections:

The demo account is connected to a live Loyverse store and a Zoho Books organisation. You can run a sync immediately after logging in — no additional setup required.
Step 1

Sign Up

Go to loybooks.com

Click Start free trial. Enter your business name and email address.

Complete Stripe checkout

You will be redirected to Stripe to enter payment details. The 14-day free trial starts immediately — no charge until the trial ends. Use a test card if reviewing: 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future expiry, any CVC.

Set your password

After Stripe, you are redirected to app.loybooks.com?setup=your@email.com where you set a password for your dashboard.

Access your dashboard

Log in with your email and password. You will land on the Dashboard overview.

Step 2

Connect Loyverse

Go to the Connections tab

In your LoyBooks dashboard, click Connections in the top navigation.

Generate a Loyverse API token

In Loyverse Back Office, go to Account → API Tokens → Generate token. Copy the token.

The token requires Receipts (read), Customers (read), and Items (read) permissions — these are granted by default on all Loyverse API tokens.

Paste and save

Paste the token into the Personal Access Token field and click Save Token. Click Test Connection to verify.

Step 3

Connect Zoho Books

Click "Connect with Zoho"

In the Connections tab, under Zoho Books (OAuth2), click the green Connect with Zoho button.

Log in and approve access

A popup opens redirecting to Zoho's OAuth consent screen. Log in with your Zoho account and click Allow to grant LoyBooks the requested permissions.

Connection confirmed

The popup closes automatically and the Connections tab updates to show Zoho Books as ● Connected. No manual token entry is required.

Which Zoho Books user to connect. Connect Zoho Books with an administrator login. LoyBooks creates invoices, credit notes and payments as the user who connects it. If your staff use Zoho Books logins with restricted roles, give those roles permission to view Invoices, Credit Notes and Payments Received, for all records, not only the ones they created. Otherwise a credit note or payment that LoyBooks recorded can be invisible to them, and it may get entered a second time by hand. In Zoho Books, open Settings, then Users & Roles, then Roles, edit each role your staff use, and allow View for Invoices, Credit Notes and Payments Received. If the role offers a choice between all records and only the user's own, choose all.
You can revoke LoyBooks' access at any time via Zoho Accounts → Connected Apps → LoyBooks → Revoke.
Step 4

Run a Sync

Go to the Dashboard tab

Both Loyverse and Zoho Books should show ● Ready.

Set the date range

Select a From date and To date for the sync. For a test, use the last 7 days.

Click "Run Sync Now"

LoyBooks fetches receipts from Loyverse for the selected period and creates invoices in Zoho Books. Progress is shown in the Recent Activity log at the bottom of the dashboard.

Automatic sync

In addition to manual syncs, LoyBooks runs automatically every 15 minutes (configurable in the Schedule tab). The scheduler status is displayed on the Dashboard.

Step 5

Verify in Zoho Books

After a sync completes, log into Zoho Books and verify the following:

Permissions

Zoho Books OAuth Scopes

LoyBooks requests the following Zoho Books permissions. Each scope is required for a specific part of the sync:

LoyBooks does not request write access to any Zoho Books data beyond what is needed for the sync. It cannot delete invoices, contacts, or items.
